By the Grace of God

How could anyone not believe in a higher power?  I’m not saying believe what I believe, I’m just saying believe that something greater than ourselves is at work in this world!! I haven’t blogged in a while and since the last time I have gone through a series of events that in no way could be attributed to anyone or anything but my higher power. I remember I used to think that God didn’t hear me or just plain wasn’t listening. (The fact that I had my own agenda and wasn’t trying to hear his never crossed my mind.)  As I have gotten older I truly understand what is meant by if you want to make God laugh tell him your plans! In less than a year, I have gotten a good job that I loved and never planned on leaving, lost that job because of funding cuts, got a better job, which I almost didn’t get because I didn’t have a car, then by the grace of God got a car as a birthday gift from my mother one week after I got the job. I’m still on Ohio’s wait list for medication, but by the grace of God, I am getting my medication through the patience assistance program from the drug company. My partner continues to test negative.  I got the inspiration and motivation I needed to continue blogging from someone who read my last blog. I knew I was being to told to continue because God keeps putting people in my path that help me to be who He wants me to be or people who show me that continuing to tell about my journey can help someone else.  If you start to doubt blessings and, or your courage, I have two poems that you must read. The first was written by an unknown source and is titled, May You Be Blessed which I have included and the second is William Earnest Henley’s Invictus and I have included the Link to
this one. http://www.poemhunter.com/best-poems/william-ernest-henley/invictus/

May You Be Blessed

May you be blessed

with discomfort at easy answers

half-truths, and superficial relationships,

so that you will live

deep in your heart.

May you be blessed

with anger at injustice, oppression, and

exploitation of people and the earth

so that you will work for

justice, equality, and peace.

May you be blessed

with tears to shed for those who suffer

so you will reach out your hand

to comfort them and

change their pain into joy.

And may you be blessed

with the foolishness to think

that you can make a difference in the world,

so you will do the things

which others say cannot be done.

my dear, i too believe that God is in control and is taking care of me. Two years ago i had a bad separation with the father of my son, it seemed we would never speak to each other again. today i thank God for restoring my relationship because we are getting back together something which i know many people around us will find hard to believe!

G-d needs people to honor and praise His work. Recognize the awe that he gives. You have sertainly done that in this piece. It was a pleasure to read of your blessings and encouragement to others. Please do continue to blog. I will continue to read.
