The Well Project, Inc is a 501(c)(3) Not for Profit Corporation committed to changing the course of the HIV/AIDS pandemic through a unique and comprehensive focus on women. Founded in 2001 by Dawn Averitt Bridge, The Well Project, Inc. ("TWP") is now an established thought and action leader in the field of HIV care for women. In addition to creating the "A Girl Like Me" blog which serves thousands of women each month,  TWP has an award-winning web portal (www.thewellproject.org),. which provides the latest information on living with and managing HIV disease for HIV-positive women, health care providers and advocates.   TWP also created and manages the Women's Research Initiative on HIV/AIDS (WRI), which brings together an extensive network of multidisciplinary stakeholders -- comprised of clinicians, researchers, allied-health professionals, and HIV-positive women -- to define and accelerate a research agenda focused on women.
