Knowledge is power. The first thing I did upon being diagnosed, was research. I scoured the internet and came across this site which was very helpful in answering my questions. Look around, ask lots of questions and learn :)
I felt like I had just been handed a death sentence. But I learned through research, that HIV positive indiviudals can lead 'normal', healthy lives. The medications and health care avaialbale today, are definitely to your advantage!
