Treatment and Trials
HIV treatment can be complicated, but knowing what drugs you are
taking, which side effects to look out for, how they work against HIV, and
why it is so important to take them as prescribed (on time, with or without
food, etc.) can really help in the fight against HIV.
It’s never been more important for women to get involved in HIV drug
research and clinical trials. Historically, women's health issues in
conjunction with HIV have not been thoroughly researched. It needs to
be – our bodies are different from men’s bodies, and our reactions to
medications can be different, too. You can help by getting involved and
participating. Click on the links below for more information about how you can
get involved in research.
