Join ViiV Healthcare's Positive Action Southern Initiative Network Members for a focused conversation with SisterLove Inc. and the Rural Women's Health Project on lessons learned engaging women as advocates to improve care and end HIV in the South.

At the end of 2010, data showed that one in four people living with HIV in the US were women, yet only about half of women who are diagnosed with HIV are in care.  We know that sexual and racial minorities are at greater risk for HIV infection, particularly in the South, where stigma and a dearth of prevention and intervention services make women even more vulnerable.

Designed for those working to end HIV/AIDS in the South, this conversation will explore:

  • Two programs in the South that empower women as advocates in their own care through the use of narrative
  • Successful approaches for using authentic stories to breakdown stigma and improve care for women with HIV+

After registering you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the Webinar.
