In honor of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NWGHAAD) on March 10 (12:30 pm - 2:00 pm EST*), we invite you to join us in a livestream conversation led by women who grew up living with HIV. Often overlooked as the long-term survivors they are, we believe our collective community has a great deal to learn from their experiences and their conversations with each other. "As We See It: Wisdom and the Unique Experiences of Women Born with HIV" is an interactive, multi-media session that will be co-moderated by fierce advocates and The Well Project Community Advisory Board members, Ieshia Scott and Porchia Dees. The session will feature a diverse panel of vertical women including Kalee Garland, Grissel Granados, L'Orangelis Thomas Negron, and Zora Voyce. Allison Agwu, MD, a pediatrician at Johns Hopkins University whose expertise focuses on patients who were born with HIV, will provide insights on her experiences and research and will answer questions from the panel and attendees.
The event will be livestreamed on The Well Project's Facebook and YouTube pages on Wednesday, March 10, and an email will be sent in advance as a reminder of when and how to join the conversation!
