Advocacy and Leadership

The Well Project offers a variety of programming that enhances advocacy and leadership development among women living with HIV, including webinars addressing topical issues; a strong presence at scientific, advocacy, and policy conferences; and ongoing opportunities to ensure women living with HIV are meaningful participants at the tables where decisions are made that affect their lives.

Frequent engagement with women we serve is vital to our work. We have created a Community Advisory Board whose committed members provide insights from their communities and guidance on strengthening our programming.

The Well Project Leadership Exchange connects thoughtleaders in the HIV community to explore one another's work, activism, and personal experiences. The series provides novel opportunities for dialogue between women living with HIV and top researchers, clinicians, and community leaders.

In this text-based interview series, we ask women living with HIV a range of questions – from what first sparked their advocacy; to their successes, challenges, and advice for other women; to the role The Well Project’s community has had in their lives and advocacy.

The Well Project is a regular presence at HIV community conferences; research and advocacy meetings; and more. Such events offer opportunities for women in our community to expand their leadership platforms through presenting, networking, and reporting. View this page for highlights from recent convenings.
