Lynette Trawick is an advocate, counselor, author, and community leader committed to transforming the lives of Black women impacted by HIV, intimate partner violence, and complex trauma. She is the Founder and Executive Director of I Am U, Inc., a nonprofit that provides culturally centered prevention services, health education, and a healing community for women seeking restoration and empowerment. Through her work as a behavioral counselor, wellness coach, and trained birth doula, Lynette helps women reclaim their voices and thrive in every area of life. She is also the author of From Diagnosis to Destiny, a memoir chronicling her journey of faith, healing, and purpose. In addition to her work with I Am U, Lynette serves as Co-Chair of the People's Empowerment Committee on the Greater Baltimore HIV Health Services Planning Council and is a member of the Executive Committee of the EPIC Movement. She brings to The Well Project's Community Advisory Board her passion for creating spaces where women living with HIV can be informed, supported, and empowered to lead.
