Shayla Knighton-Black, MPH, is a public health leader and DrPH candidate with more than a decade of experience in HIV prevention, care, capacity building, and health equity. Her research focuses on internalized HIV-related stigma and care barriers among adults who acquired HIV perinatally. She currently leads national CDC-funded initiatives that strengthen organizations serving communities disproportionately affected by HIV.
