Tia M. Morgan-Revere is a scientist, advocate, mother, and lifetime HIV survivor, also known as a dandelion, whose life reflects resilience, faith, and community. Born with HIV when life expectancy for infants was just two years, she now uses her journey to inspire, educate, and empower others. A proud alumna of Shaw University, North Carolina Central University, and UNC Chapel Hill, Tia holds degrees in Biology, Microbiology, and Immunology. She works at the UNC Infectious Diseases Clinic, blending science with advocacy to uplift others and strengthen community-centered health education.
Tia recently launched BeyondRed, a social and support club fostering connection and empowerment among people affected by HIV. Recently becoming a mother has added even deeper meaning to her story of hope, legacy, and purpose. Happily married and active in numerous advisory and mentorship groups related to science, spirituality, and health, she lives by her mantra: "Always remember to adjust your crown."
