As an Ethiopian woman living in America, I’ve witnessed how stigma can silence us, especially in communities where HIV and mental health are taboo. But I’ve also seen the power of truth and vulnerability to set people free. Through A Girl Like Me, I want to reach into the hearts of women and girls who feel forgotten or ashamed and remind them that they are worthy, they are loved, and they are never alone. My life is a testimony that you can live fully, love deeply, and rise—despite it all.
