Perfectly Planted
Sprouted Up to Perfection
Beaming in the Sun
Glowing in the Dark
Enduring During the Rain?
Rarely do you see it Scattered Across the Road after a Hurricane
But those Tall, Big ones? The ones with all the Height, Shade, Roots, and Leaves
are Uprooted and onto the Entire Ground
But, the Rose????
Overtime it Unravels, Slowly but Surely
It Announces its Departure by Changing Colors
Losing Parts One by One
Ain't I Still Beautiful?
I Felt Alive when I Thought I Matured
Got a Lil Wind, A Lil Rain
But Suddenly, I Don't Look the Same
The Glow was Gone
I was Stripped, Slowly and Surely
Parts of Me died? Or did it fertilize the ground?
It was Nothing There For A While
But..... Some Started to Peek Through
Peek Through the Darkness, The Dirt, The Soil
that had Buried all that was Left
It Sprouted Up to Perfection
Then another popped up,
Then Another
The Beauty of God's Creation
Reflecting His Love and His Nature
His Presence Bursting into Colors
and His Scent Blooming Under my Nose
Do You Ever Stop to Smell the Roses?
God Had to Release the Weight I carried
During the Storm, Because I had to be "Strong"
But I don't Have to be Strong Alone
The Thorns Die Too You Know
The Barrier, The Sharpness
That Kept Me Safe
But Then..... God Became My Thorns
In Him, I have Strength
So, I Had to Grow Again
Be Made Like New
Embrace New Dew
Spring into More Hues
What Do You See When You Look At Me?
Perfectly Planted
Sprouted Up to Perfection
Beaming in the Sun
Maybe the Storm brought the Transition
So I could Grow
If I was Never Watered,
How Could I Really Glow?
Can I Call You Rose?
