I sat in the dark some days
Intentionally keeping the sun out
Being ripped Apart from the inside out
Starting with my mind
Flowing down to my heart
The enemy is tricky
That's where he starts
Filling my mind with lies
As I Believe everything whispered in my spirit
I crumbled some more
He yelled at me every chance he got
He broke me some more
I wasn't living up to his expectations
I cried some more
Spread false accusations about me
I isolated myself some more
Made me feel unworthy
I was stripped some more
Made me hate my existence
I died some more
And as the thoughts grew stronger
I died some more, and some more
And some more, and some more
I screamed in tears
Questioned God
I wept some more
On the inside, my spirit was broken into pieces
On the outside, I masked it, very well
With a hyper cheerful personality
Faked my way through
But, I saw the light one day
The sun started to peak through my windows
The strength of it pierced through my walls
God filled my heart with his spirit
I breathed again
He pulled me up out of the grave
He wiped every tear
He touched my heart
He showed me a different way
He gave me his armor
He gave me his strength
He gave me visions I still see today
