Community Conversation in partnership with the National Network to End Domestic Violence Domestic Violence Awareness Month
For those of us living with HIV—especially survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV)—disclosure is never simple. It is not just a personal choice; it is a survival strategy shaped by safety, trauma, stigma, and systems that too often fail to protect us.
Disclosure can sometimes open doors, but it can just as easily close them. It can bring support, but it can also invite violence. Too many of us know what it feels like to be punished for honesty—whether through losing housing, being assaulted, criminalized, or cut off from family.
Join us for a community conversation centering lived experiences of HIV disclosure and IPV. Together with NNEDV, we will create space to share, listen, and imagine what real safety and support can look like.
