The Well Project is excited to launch Committed to our Values: The Well Project 2024 Annual Report, which recaps some of the highlights of our programming and activities over the last year. In these challenging times, it feels especially important to demonstrate our commitment to our community and the ways that our community continues to collaborate and support one another.
This 2024 Annual Report focuses on The Well Project's commitment to our values. Strong values have always been the driving force behind The Well Project and a key reason we have remained a trusted source of information, advocacy, and support since we were founded in 2002. In 2024, for the first time, we put those values into words – engaging in a process to make explicit and name what underpins our work. We were proud to collaborate with members of our staff, board of directors, and community advisory board (CAB) to describe not what we do, but how we do it and are thrilled to share the results with you in this report. This process has made our values more broadly recognizable to everyone in our community and allows us to more transparently hold ourselves accountable.
We are also excited to share additional details about our efforts and accomplishments over the past year and to be clear about our commitment to the community in the coming years. "In a setting in which the future of HIV programming and research around the world is uncertain, The Well Project is doubling down on our commitment to women living with and vulnerable to HIV across the gender spectrum," said Executive Director, Krista Martel. "It is clear to us that our focus on evidence-based information, community support, advocacy, collaboration, and women-focused research is more important than ever."
