Antoinette Jones is a seasoned advocate who embarked on her advocacy journey in her early 20s, initially as a Peer Specialist facilitating access to preventative care and treatment for individuals living with and at risk for HIV. As a Dandelion Woman Living with HIV, she brings a unique perspective, having navigated this experience since birth. Currently serving as the CoFounder and Co-Executive Director of Dandelions, Inc., also known as the "Dandelions Movement," Antoinette leads a non-profit organization that prioritizes the needs of individuals born with HIV through mentorship, healing initiatives, and peer-to-peer connections. Antoinette's dedication extends to the upliftment of Black and Indigenous women's Reproductive Wellness, Human Rights, and Social Dignity, epitomized by her brand "Sun-DAIE," symbolizing Self-Driven and Independently Empowered. In her role as the National Field Organizer at Positive Women's Network, she facilitates local and federal organizing skills to chapters across four states, focusing on policy and legislation improvements for both Transgender and Cisgender Women Living with HIV. Collaborating with organizations and providers, Antoinette strives to enhance clinical and social services for women. Her commitment to Youth Rights is reflected in her position on the Board of Directors of Advocates for Youth, a national organization at the forefront of advocating for young people's rights. Antoinette's impactful advocacy has played a significant role in advancing federal guidelines related to breast/chest feeding for individuals living with HIV. Leveraging her Artivist mindset, voice, and influence, she skillfully bridges unique intersections among the creators of our time and contributes to the advancement of black health.
