I Am Deeply Disturbed

There is something deeply unsettling about this image… and it goes beyond politics.

As a woman of faith, as a Catholic/Christian, and as an international human rights activist, this does not sit right in my spirit.

To portray any human being in the place of Christ while real people suffer and wars escalate feels like a distortion of what Jesus truly represents.

Christ did not seek power.
He embodied humility, compassion, and truth.

No president, no politician, no human being is the Messiah.

What grieves me even more is seeing attacks on spiritual leaders who preach peace.
Pope Leo has consistently called for dialogue and for no war in the name of God yet he was criticized simply for standing in that truth.

And then we hear language that goes even further… rhetoric suggesting entire civilizations could be destroyed if demands are not met.

That should concern all of us.

Because behind every nation are human beings families, children, innocent lives.

Silence is not an option for me.
I come from a legacy that taught me: silence equals death.

But this is not hate.

I do not wish harm.
I pray for transformation, for wisdom, for leaders to be guided by light and not ego.

Faith is sacred.
It is not a costume.
Christ is not a brand.

I choose awareness over silence, discernment over division, and prayer over fear.

Love and light in these dark times
