A Girl Like Me (AGLM), a program of The Well Project, is a blog where women ( cis and trans The Well Project serves women across the gender spectrum. (More about gender identity)) can share their experiences and promote understanding of HIV. Millions of women around the globe are living with HIV, yet many feel they are alone in their disease and isolated in their day-to-day experiences. The goals of AGLM are to help normalize HIV; and to create a safe space for women living with HIV from around the world to speak out and share their experiences – with each other, and with those seeking a support community.

U Equals U

U equals U is a scientific fact,
The studies are clear, the science exact,
It changes the lives of those who know,

It is 1 December, WORLD AIDS DAY, and this year's theme is "Global solidarity, resilient services".

The world has known a rough year because of covid-19. And this has sometimes made us forget about the fight to end HIV and AIDS by 2030. I would like to take this moment...

World AIDS Day 2020

Here comes the uncomfortable feelings.

The ones that come when I don't have a man by my side.

I'm going to try to explain what I'm feeling, which is hard because I don't really believe half of this mess.

Gendercide

KatieAdsila.I just heard a new word today that struck my heart in a sickening way: "Gendercide", "the deliberate effort to destroy traditions of gender fluidity…". That was a quote from an extremely insightful book I'm reading called Reclaiming Two-Spirits, Sexuality, Spiritual Renewal & Sovereignty In Native America by Gregory D....

Giving Up the Advantage

Bridgette Picou.I got taken advantage of recently in a major hurtful way and I can't seem to let it go. I already know my inability to do so is about the manifestation of (other) things that are out of control in my life. Still fucking stings though. I'm a Scorpio....

Safe Vulnerability

Angel Stetson.A hard line in sand separating self love from disguises, sold as sparkles and knives.

Presents all pretty dressed up for the show; rattles and sparkles acceptance is blurred, Somber breaths for the hurt of a word.
