Although I am disheartened at the fact that I wasn't able to be present in Puerto Rico this year and surrounded by all you beautiful souls who work in the HIV/AIDS field doing advocacy or direct service work, I am extremely impressed with how the virtual USCHA 2020 conference turned out.

Growing up in Paterson New Jersey where the population is predominantly Black, it was inevitable that I would share space with an individual who identified as black. However here there was never a question of separation. Black, Hispanic or white it didn't matter; we were all in the struggle together.

Dear Other White People, For the past several days I have been operating both in a muddy fog and with a racing heart – the heavy pit in my stomach growing with the news of George Floyd's horrific murder by cops and Amy Cooper's weaponizing of her tears against a Black man who asked her to keep her dog from hurting birds.
