I'm 44, I found out I was HIV+ when I was pregnant with my 5th child. He was born HIV free due early prenatal treatment. I'm recently divorced and being a single mom, and living with HIV, is a struggle, emotionally and physically. I make it day by day, goal by goal. I would like to get involved, but I honestly feel brushed under the rug. I'm a minority category for HIV; white, American, middle class, heterosexual... I don't know if my voice matters. But for me the struggle is real. I deal with the stigma, depression/bipolar, panic attacks, and the side effects of the HIV medication I'm on. I made a lot of mistakes! I'm here, the struggle is real. I have voice.
