Menopause is a natural process for people who menstruate – and it is not the end of your vitality! There is some evidence that women living with HIV, including lifetime survivors, may experience the transition into menopause earlier than women not living with the virus – and that their symptoms may be more intense. However, we need more research to support women in this transition – and more open conversation about how menopause affects our bodies and lives.

On November 20, 2025, at 11 AM ET / 8 AM PT / 4 PM UK time, The Well Project invites you to a 90-minute pivotal roundtable discussion exploring what we know about menopause and HIV, the unique experiences of women living with HIV, and so much more! This event will feature a diverse panel of healthcare providers and women sharing their insights, challenges, and strategies for managing menopause in the context of HIV.

Moderator: Bridgette Picou, LVN, ACLPN

Panelists:

  • Kim Canady
  • Heather O'Connor
  • Dottie Rains-Dowdell, DHSc
  • Shema Tariq, PhD, FRCP
