What Is Strength?

What is strength?
It's not just the roar of the warrior …. it's the quiet moments when we're tired but still rise!!
Strength is being called STRONG so often that people forget we are also human.
They see the armor, but not the scars!!
They see the smile, but not the nights we whisper prayers to keep going and keeping it all together in n the midst of despair and the fears we may have.

A strong woman isn't strong every day.
She falls. She cries. She doubts. She gets angry.
But she never stays down. NEVER
Because true strength isn't about never breaking
It’s about rebuilding yourself, softer, wiser, and more radiant than before.

Hi, beautiful sister! One of my biggest inspirations! You know how much respect I have for all you do and your hustle and your heart and soul! An example of selflessness! Yes, those that are considered. The strongest are the ones that sometimes need the most. Thank you for always showing up for those who need it but most importantly don’t forget to show up for yourself first I’m finally learning this.

Thank you Maria, this was beautiful and inspiring and needed for many, I know these words affected me, I needed these words. I feel so many times when I've had to rise from seemingly ashes, that's why I use pinkphoenix as an email, because I can identify with the phoenix. Even now I'm still rising from the ashes of last November, it's difficult because every day seems like a new fire to walk through, it's overwhelming, I've had to back off a little at times to spare my sanity. It's strengthening and comforting to know that you're not alone.

Dear sister I also identify with the phoenix and also a butterfly! You are both as well as a matter of fact, many of us here are! We have to battle every day and put this fire out then another one starts sometimes multiple fires just breathe meditate pray or whatever grounds you and understand that you are causing a huge impact in the world. You are not alone in your feelings I am here if you ever need me.
