I was invited to an event in London - to talk about how to tap into the energy that 2026 brings. This was my dream event - I was surrounded by young professional and creative people from London.

They did not know what to expect from my talk. I spoke about living with HIV, working in hostile environments, neurodiversity, shame, fear, love and hope. The room was silent, they were stunned. I ended the talk with some dancing and movement which was so much fun!

Sometimes, when I am alone, I ask myself a question: Why am I so public and open about living with HIV? The response is - when I was in my darkest days, I wish I saw someone like me talking about how difficult life can be. Maybe I would feel less lonely, and more empowered to reach out and find community.

When I decided to speak about living with HIV, I typed in "HIV and women" in Google, and The Well Project popped up into my search. I started to write blogs for A Girl Like Me - and I am now co-chair of the community advisory board. Since then, I have not turned back. I feel so much stronger, safe and empowered for being part of a women-led HIV community.

We love that you are here! I for one appreciate every woman that steps out on that limb and allows other women to see the pieces of themselves that are quiet and secret reflected in others-- so thank you for your part friend!

This sounds like it was an amazing experience. I love me a dance moment. Sounds like this was a freeing experience.

I just love this—it made me feel like I was right there, sharing the moment with you.

I love to dance, and your post inspired me to feel free whenever I choose to move and dance away my fears and struggles.

Thank you for being so honest about the process of becoming stronger—especially while living with HIV.

This really resonated with me. Growth doesn’t always look pretty, but it is powerful. 💪🏾
