Research has played an undeniable role in understanding, treating, and preventing HIV. The evolution of HIV from an almost-always terminal condition to a manageable, preventable, chronic illness is the result of research. While there have been strides toward better inclusion of women in HIV research, HIV cure research continues to be a persistent area of neglect and exclusion. Trials are not the only way that women can be involved in research. Community involvement extends to having the resources available to share knowledge so that women can make informed decisions about participation and communication. Based on input from a wide range of stakeholders, The Well Project has put together a collection of resources specific and relevant to women and HIV cure research. If you have resources you would like to submit, please use do so via our Women and Cure Research document, where you can also sign up for our listserv dedicated to Women and HIV Cure.
We will regularly update this resource so please visit often. And we welcome your input! If you know of resources we should include, please submit them via our Women and Cure Research document, where you can also sign up for our listserv dedicated to Women and HIV Cure.
This resource has been developed through a grant from Merck.
